Shipyard Plantation on Hilton Head Island offers a wonderful way of life for the those looking for residential and resort living. Shipyard was designed to enhance the natural landscape and vistas.
The Plantation has convenient access to Highway #278 and Pope Avenue between Sea Pines and Palmetto Dunes. It encompasses approximately 800 acres. It is a gated resort community where you will find resort and residential properties.
The community of Shipyard is the 2nd plantation that was developed on Hilton Head Island in 1957 by Charles Fraser for residential use. Like its sister community Sea Pines Plantation, Shipyard was designed to be nestled in the area’s scenic natural landscape, and prime beachfront real estate.

The three courses can be played in different three 18-hole combinations, with 25 water hazards coming into play throughout the majority of the holes. Two of the three inter-connecting nines are combined for a unique and challenging 18-hole round. The original Clipper and Galleon courses create an exciting combination of long fairways and perilous hazards, while the Brigantine course winds its way around lagoons and breathtaking terrain.
